COME RIDE WITH US!
Located where the scenic Southern Cascades bump into the gentle Northern Sierras, the Mile High 100 will treat you to a quiet day on the back roads that wander through the lush green forests surrounding Lake Almanor and the Indian Valley. This is not a race but a collection of tours for cyclists of all abilities. The purpose of this event is to promote recreational bicycling "under the volcano" in the shadow of Northern California's incredible Lassen Peak with scenic views around Lake Almanor . Proceeds from this event are invested in organized recreation in the Lake Almanor Basin and provide support for the Chester/Lake Almanor Chamber of Comnerce. This ride is known for having the friendliest volunteers, best food and most beautiful scenery in Northern California.

HELMETS – Are most definitely required. Only those with brains will wear them.
RULES OF THE ROAD – Obey them! Not much has changed in the twenty seven years of this event. We have a good thing going in Plumas County, drivers are courteous and cyclists are not considered “a problem” by law enforcement or local motorists… We’d like to keep it that way! We insist that you obey all stop signs and give appropriate hand signals when turning. Ride as far to the right as is practicable and watch for oncoming cars and trucks. “Sag Vehicle" volunteers will be monitoring the ride. They will assist if someone needs a lift, minor bike repairs or water. Route will be clearly marked on the asphalt and road signs. Detailed map of your selected ride will be included at Check-in.
